The 14-day guarantee applies to every paid plan. Below is each one and how refunds work for it.
Full 14-day guarantee. Email within 14 days of purchase for a complete refund. After 14 days, cancel anytime to stop the next charge; the current month is non-refundable.
Full 14-day guarantee on the annual purchase. If you decide it's not for you within 14 days, we refund the full year. After 14 days, you can cancel to stop next year's renewal; the remaining current year is non-refundable.
Full 14-day guarantee. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, and you get the same two-week window to try it and request a full refund. After 14 days, lifetime purchases are non-refundable because the license has been delivered.

Every paid FreeTTS plan — PRO Monthly, PRO Annual, PRO Lifetime, Creator Monthly, Creator Annual, and Creator Lifetime — is eligible for a full refund within 14 calendar days of the initial purchase. Eligibility is determined by the date Creem processed your payment, not the date you first used the features. You do not need to provide a reason for the refund.
Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your FreeTTS account. A single sentence such as “please refund my FreeTTS purchase” is enough. Optional: include your Creem payment ID or the receipt email you received at checkout to speed up processing. We do not ask you to fill out forms, complete surveys, or sit through a retention pitch.
We confirm receipt of your request within 1 business day and issue the refund through Creem within 5 business days. Once Creem has processed the refund, the funds typically appear on your original payment method within an additional 5 to 10 business days, depending entirely on your bank or card issuer. The total timeline from request to visible refund is usually between 7 and 15 days.
Refunds are always issued back to the original payment method used for the purchase. We cannot refund to a different card, a different bank account, PayPal, store credit, or another method. This is a limitation of payment processors, not a FreeTTS policy. If your original card has since been closed or replaced, your bank will typically credit the refund to the replacement account automatically. If that fails, contact your bank before contacting us, as they control how closed-account refunds are handled.
Monthly and annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period after 14 days. You can still cancel at any time from your dashboard to prevent future charges. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so you retain access to all paid features until that date. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.
Lifetime plans are non-refundable after 14 days. The lifetime license is considered delivered in full at purchase, and the 14-day window is your opportunity to evaluate whether the product meets your needs before that license becomes final.
Cancelling a subscription and requesting a refund are two different things. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund past charges. Refund fully reverses a past charge. If you want both, email us asking for a refund within the 14-day window, and we will cancel the subscription as part of the refund process. If you only need to stop future billing, cancel from the dashboard without contacting us.
Once your refund is issued, your FreeTTS account reverts to the free plan. You retain access to any audio files you already downloaded to your device, since the files are yours to keep. PRO-only features including expressive voice styles with intensity control, HD neural voices, extended monthly character limits, the 30-day generation history in the dashboard, WAV and OGG export, and commercial license clauses are no longer available on the account.
You can continue to use the free tier of FreeTTS after a refund without restriction. A refund does not ban, suspend, or block your access to the free service.
FreeTTS reserves the right to deny refund requests that appear fraudulent or clearly abusive. Examples include: repeated purchase-and-refund cycles from the same account or payment method, requests made after consuming a significant portion of the monthly character quota on a paid tier, or requests that are part of a coordinated chargeback scheme. These exceptions apply only to obvious cases, and we will always reply explaining our reasoning if we deny a request. In practice, over 99 percent of refund requests within the 14-day window are approved automatically.
Before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer, please email us first at [email protected]. Chargebacks cost us fees and typically take weeks to resolve, while a direct refund request is free and resolved within days. We guarantee that any eligible refund request submitted within the 14-day window will be honored in full, so a chargeback is never necessary for a legitimate refund.
If a chargeback is filed without first contacting us, we may dispute it if the purchase is outside the 14-day window or shows signs of abuse. This protects FreeTTS from fraud while still guaranteeing honest customers a fast and fair refund process through normal channels.
If this refund policy is updated in the future, the change applies to new purchases made after the update date. Your purchase is governed by the policy in effect at the time of your payment, not by any later revision. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current policy.
